Who?
I am a philosopher who is concerned with questions of applied ethics, the ethics of human-animal relationships and the ethics of biotechnology. To approach these disciplines and navigate between them I use transdisciplinary methods and collaborate with scientists and artists.
Currently I am working as a postdoc researcher and APART-GSK fellow at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Vienna. Previously I have studied at the University of Zurich, at the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna and at the New York University.
In 2020 I was elected as a member of the Swiss Federal Ethics Committee on Non-Human Biotechnology(ECNH). As an independent, interdisciplinary expert committee we advise the federal authorities from an ethical perspective in the field of non-human biotechnology and gene technology.
How?
Whereas philosophy starts with wonder, the art of magic concludes with it. Perhaps it is my love of wonders and conundrums that drew me to towards secular magic. So if you want to pick a card, any card, just let me know…
